Pop, Fizz, CLINK!
I don't know about you, but this girl loves a good cocktail! I use to joke that Cody was a snooty drinker. He would be the only 21 year old ordering a manhattan on a Saturday night from a college bar. Slowly he introduced me to the world of nice cocktails & I realized my cranberry & vodka just wasn't going to cut it. The only problem with a good cocktail is the price tag so we picked our favorite cocktail to make at home so you can feel boujee while you binge watch netflix (No judgement!).
You may have heard of a French 75, but I swoon for a good glass of prosecco. Prosecco is very similar to champagne, but comes from Italy, therefore, this cocktail is called an Italian 75. This drink is SO simple & by far my favorite!
1 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Dashes of Simple Syrup
Pour gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, & ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into champagne flute or coupe, top with proscecco, & garnish with a lemon twist!
A Manhattan as Cody says is timeless & simple, but just a fair warning if you don't enjoy a stiff drink I would stick with the Italian 75.
2 oz. Rye Whiskey
1 oz. Italian Vermouth
2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
Pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir. Strain into cocktail glass & garnish with a maraschino cherry!
